My Latest Projects

1) Another review of my Mark Gruenwald biography has appeared in the wild. Carl Rollyson, himself a prolific biographer, has some quibbles with my work, but sometimes it's just nice to be noticed.

2) This is my 30th year as a steady concert-goer. I did some reflecting about it on my blog. Check it out!

3) My comic strip, Zuzu the Groundhog, is up to 11 published chapters now. And I'm currently working on chapter 13 of 28! Take a look here: https://sites.google.com/view/comics-by-paul/zuzu-the-groundhog

Hopefuls Spotlight

I got the honor of getting an early listen to the forthcoming Vicious Vicious album, You and I Belong. My verdict? Get excited because you're in for a treat. It's already my favorite thing Erik Appelwick has done since 2016's Islands. The album due to be released next month.

Reader's Corner

I'm currently enjoying the final book in Colson Whitehead's Harlem trilogy, Cool Machine.

My comic book reading has been focused on reading Jonathan Hickman's dense and sprawling 2012-2015 run on Avengers. These stories not only introduced several concepts that were used in the Infinity War and Endgame films, they're also rumored to be the basis for the upcoming Doomsday and Secret Wars movies.
